Ribbon Cables

Ribbon cable (also known as multi-wire planar cable) is a cable with many conducting wires running parallel to each other on the same flat plane. As a result, the cable is wide and flat. Its name comes from its resemblance to a piece of ribbon.

Ribbon cables are mainly used for internal peripherals in computers. The ribbon-like shape interferes with computer cooling by disrupting airflow within the case and also makes the cables awkward to handle, especially when there are a lot of them; as a result, round cables have almost entirely replaced ribbon cables for external connections and are increasingly being used internally as well.

Flexible Cable and Hookup Wire

Conductor- These are Annealed Bare Electrolytic grade. They are flexible, uniformly bunched and have compact having uniform resistance and dimension conforming to IS: 8130:1984.

Insulation- These are specially formulated high graded PVC Compound which is capable of withstanding higher conductor temperature up to 70 degree Celsius. The insulation provided is resistant to moisture, oils, alkalis and Grease. It has good dielectric properties, higher insulation resistance and has permanent colors. The insulation process is done on modern high speed extrusion lines with accuracy and thus ensuring consistency in performance.

Submersible Cables

We offer 3 Core Flat Submersible Cables available in varied dimensions & wide applications in different sectors.

Conductor- These are annealed and have high conductivity. Also these have Electrolytic Grade bare flexible Conductor uniformly bunched conforming to IS: 8130:1984.

Insulation- Comes with specially formulated high grade of PVC Compound conforming to IS: 5831:1984 Type A.

Sheath- The insulated conductors are made in flat parallel position. Then covered with specially formulated PVC Compound resistant to water alkalis, moisture and grease conforming to IS: 5831:1984. The color of the Outer Sheath is made Black.

Multicore Cables

Conductor- These are annealed and have high conductivity. Also these have Electrolytic Grade bare flexible Conductor uniformly bunched conforming to IS: 8130:1984, Class-V.

Insulation- These are specially formulated, hi-graded PVC Compound capable of withstanding conductor temperature up to 700C. The insulation provides resistance to moisture, oils, alkalis and grease. It has also good dielectric properties, higher insulation resistance and permanent colors.

Color of insulation- The cores are identified with a color scheme as per IS:1554(Pt-I):1988 as under 2 Cores - Red & Black, 3 Cores - Red, Black & Green, 4 Cores - Red, Yellow, Blue & Green and 5 Cores - Red, Yellow, Blue, Black & Grey.

Sheath- The PVC covering over laid up cores is provided as per IS: 694:1990 ST1 type which comply to IS: 5831:1984. It is suitable for 70 degree temperature operation. The outer sheath is applied with soft flexible PVC sheathing compound for facilitating easy stripping and imparting toughness to withstand mechanical abrasion. Generally the color of sheath is black but any color can be provided on specific requirement.

• Conductor - Tinsel wire, highly flexible cadmium copper / copper / silver coated ribbons lapped over synthetic fiber.
• Insulation - Polypropylene / PVC extruded.
